NWFED launches Business Plan
The last 12 months has been a time of considerable change for the NWFED. Strengthening its corporate governance through becoming a registered company, and the current moves towards charitable status, have been quite the focus of activity.
But the changes have been made for a reason. Our robust constitution now enables the NWFED to do things that would have been difficult before. Developments that would have been a dream in the past, such as contracting a Co-ordinator, can now be made real due to our new structure and a generous development grant from National Museums Liverpool.
To build on this, and develop over the next three years, the NWFED has developed a business plan. It has four clear aims, which include objectives to strengthen the organisation, improve what we do, and develop our ‘offer’ to the Associate Membership. But this is no job-and-done task. It is expected that the Co-ordinator will update and modify the plan, and it is likely that the plan will be revised annually to ensure that it is current and practical.
But above all, it must reflect the demands of the Associate Membership. The Business Plan is available to download here NWFED Business Plan 2009-13. If you have any comments or amendments, you must let us know.
