Want to tell the amazing stories of your collections and maximise public impact? 

Friday 30 June 2017, 10.30- 13.30

World Museum Liverpool Ancient Egypt gallery , 3rd floor and

Midland Railway Building ( organics conservation studio ), 1 Peter Street, Liverpool, L1 6BL

This half-day informal training is an opportunity to find out from different museum professionals about the different ideas, expertise and skills required in planning and delivery the new Ancient Egypt gallery at World Museum Liverpool.

Dr. Ashley Cooke will discuss his research of the collections, as well as his vision and ideas for the new gallery. Claire Sedgwick, World Museum Registrar will address issues of logistics and planning.

Tracey Seddon, Organics Conservator will share her expertise in preparing collections for display and discuss some of the challenges faced when dealing with organic material. There will be an opportunity to view ongoing conservation work in her studio.

Attendance is free for all individual and institutional members, staff and volunteers of museums and heritage sites.
