Review of the Arts Council strategic framework by Estelle Morris

The Arts Council has now published the Estelle Morris review. This marks an important step in ACE taking on the responsibilities of museums and libraries.

The review highlights that the sectors share common goals– and it also recognises that the museums and libraries sectors are equally diverse, each offering a wealth of different experiences. Estelle Morris shines a light on what is core to the wider cultural sector – museums, libraries and artistic institutions all play a vital role in enabling people to be active, engaged and empowered citizens. They provide people with opportunities that raise their aspirations, promote their sense of social responsibility and strengthen their connection to their commgunity.
