Following a successful first Conservation Matters in the North conference in 2021, The Northwest Conservators Group has announced details of its next event, ‘Collaboration in Conservation’, which is happening on Friday 24 November 2023.

The conference will see museum professionals from across the region discussing what collaboration in conservation really means. Is it a collaborative engagement project, co-production of an exhibition, or new ways of presenting or negotiating conservation needs? What experiences do people have of the constraints, benefits and impact of collaborating within the conservation profession? How have conservators bridged the silos between colleagues, departments or partner institutions, and what tips and tricks can people share to help others?

The event will take place from 10am on Friday 24 November 2023 at Museum of Liverpool, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1DG and it is open to everybody with an interest in Conservation in the North, including curators, conservators, historians, students, volunteers, interns and related disciplines.
